Don Watt

Psychologist

Telehealth Sessions on any device.

I have worked in mental health since 1981, graduating as a psychologist in 1991.
I have held many roles over several decades.
I have a down-to-earth easy going style that focuses on connection.
I believe that underlying everybody's issues is an innate wisdom that once unlocked allows you to realise your full potential.
I work closely with clients to help you find your particular way of engaging in this process.

My Background

Telehealth

I work by Telehealth. I have found Telehealth by video a very successful way to engage with clients. You can enjoy the convenience of relaxing in an environment of your choice and fit sessions easily into a busy day. The effectiveness of Telehealth has been supported by dozens of studies globally.

How it Works

Using any device -including a phone on 4G- you will receive an encrypted link that opens in any browser, and we are connected. We can see and talk to each other. Some people prefer voice only -or an ordinary phone call and that's fine too. I'm very happy to work either way.

Costs

Price should not be a barrier to therapy. With a doctor's referral, you are entitled to 10 sessions each calendar year. I charge $140 per session, and $89.65 is reimbursed to you by Medicare. If you are suffering financial hardship, I bulk bill, so sessions are completely covered by Medicare.

Who

I work with anyone over the age of 18. Clients who are in crisis should seek immediate help.

Although you are not entering a physical clinic, I am bound by the same ethics that apply to all psychologists. Your information will be kept strictly confidential. By law your information can only be disclosed if you are likely to harm yourself or another or your files are subject to a court subpoena.

Telehealth is easy, effective and convenient.
